The Trainer's EDGE
What is this course? The purpose of the Trainer’s EDGE course is to provide and help develop the platform skills of a trainer. It is meant to supplement the practice offered through Wood Badge and NYLT staff development, with a focus on the participant, while raising the level of skill a trainer brings to the staff experience.
Who Should Attend? This course is REQUIRED for all National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) and Wood Badge staff members. This course is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for pack trainers and members of the district and council training teams. All adult leaders within the BSA are encouraged to attend this course.

TIME: Check-in begins at 8AM and the course runs from 8:30AM to 5PM

COURSE DIRECTOR: NYLT Staff
Pre-course Preparation: You will need to prepare a 10 to 12 minute presentation on a topic from any BSA material. It can be presented in any media format you wish to use. There will be a flip pad and a marker board available. If you need anything else, you must provide it (You may want to bring your own computer). Your presentation should allow you to demonstrate the skills of a presenter and a trainer. You will receive constructive feedback on your presentation from the other participants.
