Wood Badge - First Weekend

May 1, 2 & 3 and May 23 & 24, 2020 at Camp Thunderbird.

Our theme for the 2020 Wood Badge Course is "Lighting The Way".

Wood Badge develops leadership skills to improve yourself and your unit while having Summer Camp FUN!

First weekend runs from 7:30am on Friday morning through 5:00pm on Sunday.
Second weekend runs from 7:30am on Saturday morning through 5:00pm on Sunday.
You must attend both weekends!

How do I qualify for Wood Badge?

  • Be 18 years of age or older, and registered in the Boy Scouts of America

  • Have completed the Leader Specific training for your Scouting position

  • Have current Youth Protection Training

  • Be capable of participating in the outdoor experience

  • ALL participants MUST have a current (signed within a year of last day of course, May 24, 2020) BSA Annual Health Form Parts A, B & C. Found here.

There is a limit of 48 participants (first paid in full, first served)

Payment: A deposit of at least $50 must accompany your application. To receive Early Bird pricing, fees must be paid in FULL by deadline of December 31, 2019. All deposits are non-refundable, unless the council cannot place you in the chosen course. The remainder of the fees may be refundable as stated in the council's camping refund policy.
