Join Night

Ready to grow your unit and bring the adventure of Scouting to more families?
A Join Night is the perfect way to connect with new youth and families in your community.
Whether you’re a Pack, Troop, Crew, or Ship, the council is here to support you every step of the way!

What is a Join Night

A Join Night is a dynamic, welcoming event where families can learn about Scouting, meet leaders, and join on the spot.
It’s designed to be easy, exciting, and fast — in about 15–20 minutes, families experience the adventure that awaits!

What Makes a Great Join Night?

  • Friendly First Impressions: Smiles, signage, clear directions

  • Simple and Interactive Stations: Meet leaders, see the activities, register easily

  • Hands-On Fun: Games, demonstrations, and giveaways to keep youth engaged

  • Efficient Registration: Paper or online applications with immediate support

  • Personal Connections: Leaders ready to answer questions and build relationships

The Five Station Model for Success

At your event, families move through simple, fun stations:

  1. Welcome & Sign-In: Greet families and provide a welcome packet.

  2. What We Do: Share exciting upcoming activities and adventures.

  3. Registration: Help families complete applications.

  4. Check Out: Confirm registration and provide a small welcome gift.

  5. Meet the Leaders/Q&A: Introduce leaders and invite families to upcoming activities.
