Changes for 2024 Charter Renewal
YOUTH PROTECTION POLICY
Youth protection training for all adults (18+) must be completed annually. All members must be BSA Youth Protection trained for the entire length of the registration term.
A Youth Protection Training certificate MUST be attached to ALL new adult (18+) applications.
Current and new adults cannot be registered without having taken the 4-module version of the Mandatory Youth Protection Training.
INTERNET RECHARTERING 2.0
The Boy Scouts of America offers an online charter renewal process for units. Recently, this process was moved to improve systems and increase speed and efficiency in processes. Located at https://advancements.scouting.org, the new Internet Recharter system provides a more simplistic approach to the rechartering process and can be completed from start to finish without a single piece of paper changing hands.
